I have used other sources as proving that the ALCOR cable is approved for the replacement- Have you found the statement AMOC (Other Means Of Compliance) for the cable? It would make writing up the 337 a lot easier and easier to prove. Barry On Sat, Feb 22, 2014 at 10:01 PM, wrote: > A vernier mixture cable is the way to go. The 500 hour replacement requirement of the AD is part number specific, so not applicable to the Alcor cable. Had the AD said "replace mixture cable every 500 hours", then it would not matter what cable was installed. --Bob Steward ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 08:15:21 AM PST US Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Exhaust Clamps From: "busdriver" Where is the best place to get new exhaust clamps? AG5B, stock exhaust. Thank you. The clamps are all the same, from the 70's production through 2006 Tiger. Dawley Exhaust in Wisconsin carries new PMA clamps. However, they also will "overhaul" yours for half the price of new ones. They clean the rust off, remove the "shim" and weld on a new one, and send them back with paperwork. Invest the money saved in 100LL. --Bob Steward Birmingham, AL ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 03:43:01 PM PST US Subject: TeamGrumman-List: Re: Exhaust Clamps From: "busdriver" I'll give them a call tomorrow- thank you!
