Gary: Now you know (and I remember) why we stopped doing private work after our
first season in the business. Up here (Candian North then) I NEVER saw a single
airplane imported from the US that was anywhere near airworthy, and we would
not sign out without actually doing all ADs and outstanding squawks. Made
me wonder how the hell they got through the IRAN before being first registered
in Canada. Guess enough of our AMEs were as sloppy as the guys who did whatever
they did or did not do on the other side of the 49th.
