Dear all,
Could you please let me know how to remove the spinner and propeller
from a BMW powered ultralight homebuilt and then reattach them. I have
the instruction manual of the propeller but it does not include
everything. Thank you very much.

This list hasn't had any active messages in over 3 years. You might not get any
other replies.
I am sure what you call ultralight and what we (USA) call ultralight are not the
same thing. I have never heard of a BMW engine in an ultralight although anything
is possible. Is it a motorcycle engine?
Does it have a belt or gear reduction unit?
Typically a spinner for a small propeller is held on with a single screw on the
end although a lot of designs use a back plate and have a ring of screws around
the perimeter.
It would be helpful if you could post some pictures of your setup.

Thank you for your reply. I wonder why Matronics continues this list as
nobody has used it for ages. Were do peole go with questions nowadays,
to forums?
My ultralight fulfils the 450 kg MTOW requirement. It uses a BMW
motorcycle engine and a TakeOff reduction gear with centrifugal clutch.
I have seen that it has a back plate. To gain access to it I reckon one
has to remove the cowling.

I've been on a lot of the Matronics lists for more than a decade. The
only one that I was on that was really active was the Kolb list. I
really prefer a list server to a forum where I have to log in to see
stuff. The few forums I frequent now are the ones that have an email
feature where new posts and replies I subscribe too get emailed to me. I
prefer that as I can set up my email software to handle sorting and
organizing.
Unfortunately very few people use email these days. It just seems to be
"too hard" for a lot of people. I don't get it but I am an old retired
IT guy so my perspective is not "normal". :)
In any case, most people I have contact with use Facebook or text
messaging. When the Kolb factory migrated to Facebook they abandoned the
Kolb list here and that was the end of it.
I don't do social media. Having been in the tech world, I know the evils
that lurk there and I don't mean just the creeps online. Simply put, I
don't feed the beast.
It is sad what has happened to the lists, but nothing is forever. Kind
of ironic that this conversation is during the fund raiser. I wish Matt
no ill will, but for me, I get zero benefit from his servers these days
and if it went away, I would probably not even notice it.
Sad times....

Stuart,
Thank you for your response. I wonder what the future is for Matronics.
I have been on an e-mail list called IMON (International Merkur Owners
Network). It was both interesting and fun. Alas it is no more as few
people remained.
