Tested in quotes because I have no antennas or monitor (nor even the RC71 composite video converter cable)--I just connected it to power and UniLink to see if it was operating (which it seemed to be just by using it from the HU)... So I have a few more questions about the TV tuners (sorry if I'm making too many TV tuner posts...) On the U500V there is a switch labelled "SIMUL" on the top of the unit and has ON and OFF positions (I don't think the XT-40V has this switch)--does anyone know what this is for? It doesn't seem to affect the "Simultaneous Play" mode that is activated by holding the SOURCE button for a few seconds, so I'm unsure as to its function. The other thing is more of a disappointment rather than a question. I noticed that when the tuner was connected, the LIST-Up feature didn't work on the HU! :( I mean it beeped like it was working but no display! I'm assuming that if you have the TV tuner then the LIST up function is completely eliminated from the HU display and only displayed on the monitor? Funny how the manuals for the HUs never mention this! I think that is kind of dumb because what if you don't have the monitor in the driver's view? There is no way for you to know what is in the changer by the LIST feature because it only displays on the monitor. Does anyone else find this annoying/stupid? Subject: Re: XDP4000X-List: Just a couple more TV tuner questions (Sorry...) --> XDP4000X-List message posted by: "Dremgragen ." I can't answer your question but I have one of my own. When connecting the XT-40V tuner with your 4000X, do you connect IT TO 4000X as a changer, or do you connect it to the HU and run the UNILINK OUT to the 4000X? If you connect it as a changer, or directly to the HU, where does the sound output from the XT-40V go? Does it go on changer input on the 4000X or do you run a set of RCAs back up to the head unit and plug them into the AUX IN? Thanks. :) -Brody Z.
