--> XDP4000X-List message posted by:
Hi guys, I have been trying to find an electric to optical signal converter to
connect my CDX-C910 to my XDP-4000X digitally.
I have just found an universal converter (the brand is, apparently, PURESONIC,
but couldn=B4t fint it on the web) which goes from coaxil input to optical output
here in my city. As it is universal I assumed it=B4d work.
I connected the converter to the HU with a mono RCA; just one of the sides of an
audio RCA cable (same as used to connect the HU to an amp). Is this correct?
is the RCA plug correct in this case?
Well, the think is that I cannot manage to get signal through the converter.
I don=B4t even know if there is signal coming out of the HU=B4s digital out; how
can I test this without very complicated devices? I have a multimeter and some
electrical knoledge.
Please help me with this.
-Eduardo
P.S.: I have already moved the "digital out - analog out" switch on the bottom
of the HU and reseted it after that.

Anybody can take a close up pic from the plug that connects to the HU on a
Sony converter? (just to see if it is a common RCA plug)

converter..... the part # for the part you need is XA-D211 or XA-D210 the
