Subject: Output Signal Voltage of 4000x
--> XDP4000X-List message posted by: "Mike Piccin" <mpiccin2@hotmail.com> I had my C90 via fibre optic to my 4000x put on an oscilloscope and the voltage reads about 4.5V out unclipped at full volume. This is straight out from the 4000x. Just thought someone might one to know the real measured output signal voltage for future reference. Mike

Also, don't forget to use a true "RMS" voltmeter if you want a true reading. How are you determining the clipping - audibly or via an oscilliscope? It was my understanding that the XDP4K was an 8 volt unit, but I think it is actually a 4 volt out with TONS of headroom. I know the gains on my amps don't reflect an 8Volt input signal for clipping!
