Hey guys,
I have a 4 way setup through the 4000x. In setting the stage, I played
around with the polarity by reversing the front left tweet and midrange.
This threw my entire stage together and fixed some of my phasing problems.
I had gotten some kickpanels and without switching the polarity of the left
mid and tweet, it sounded very off. It is such a great trick. Anyway, my
question now, is how does this efect the time allignment? I have no time
alignment being used right now, because the image is very sharp, and for the
most part, it is placed right in the center. I want to do some tweeking
with the time alignment to try to make it that much better (yes, I'm OCD),
but I'm thinking that this may be harder to do since i switched the polarity
of a few speakers. If anyone has any knowledge realted to this, please
respond. I'm thinking that I just need to get out their and play around
with it, but I am just not too sure about how the time alignment is effected
by reversing the polarity. Any thoughts?
Patrick
