If it truly does not have one, it might require a docking station or port replicator to use a serial port. You can't use a parallel port. There are some Serial --> USB adapters out there but they don't work for every serial device. But if you've got USB ports then you could try one of those and see if it works. It's a Compaq Presario 2715. My bro has a Laptop with a serial port so i might just use that or will try and get a USB to serial cable. More and more newer laptops are not coming with serial connections anymore... I guess it's a legacy thing...
