--> XDP4000X-List message posted by: Bobby Braun <BobbyBraun@comcast.net> What you need is a standard 'Serial' Port. This is very important to specify or ask about, because as laptops are getting faster and more advanced, older features like the floppy disk and the serial i/o are slowly being phased out. You won't be at a complete loss if you get a computer without a serial port, but it will mean alot more work and research to make a proper connection. I hope that answers your question. --> XDP4000X-List message posted by: Hyo68@aol.com the usb to serial connector didn't work for me...I think the port needs to have it's own address or something like that....if you are good (which I thought I was, but I guess was wrong) with windows and configure it, go for the usb option, otherwise, I would get a laptop with serial.... Since we are on the topic of connectors...anyone want to let me know how to hook an iPod into our systems?
