I've been a happy owner of the C90/4K combo for over a year now...I've been
happy as I could be with the combo. Just one quick question. I've recently
moved and can't find my C90 owners manual, I forgot how to access the menu.
Not the initial setup, but the color, time, tilt, etc. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks
Jim

There is a button on the cordless remote called "Menu" that should get you
there.

hehe, I remember that...unfortunately I think my remote is with my manual.
I'll keep digging, but I thought there was a way to access it without the
remote.
Thanks
Jim

Subject: | Unilink Protocol Specification... |
--> XDP4000X-List message posted by: Matt Dralle <dralle@matronics.com>
Hello Sony Heads,
I've been working on a Sony Unilink slave emulator via a PC parallel port
under Linux and making, well, progress, I guess. I found a nifty program
called "Parapin" (see http://www.circlemud.org/jelson/software/parapin/ )
that made the interfacing job a little easier, although getting all of the
module insertion stuff compiling / not crashing / actually working was
quite a challenge.
There's a nice web site ( http://www.cus.org.uk/~cleggy/ ) by a fellow
'over the pond' in UK that is sort of the unauthorized resource for all
things Unilink. Lots on interesting information and projects as well as a
reverse engineer documentation on the Sony Unilink protocol. The Unilink
protocol is what is used between the Sony Head unit and other devices such
as a CD Changer, XM radio tuner, and the xdp-4000x.
The problem I'm having is that there seems to be quite a few holes in the
documentation as one would expect from reverse engineering.
Does anyone on the List happen to have access to some official
documentation on the Unilink protocol and interfacing? A real
specification would really be helpful about now...
Thanks for the help,
Matt Dralle
