What I know about the unit is this--is connects to UniLink just like any other changer and it behaves just like an MD changer when connected to a UniLink head. That means you get proper text in the form of the MD-Text support that any UniLink head bearing "CD/MD changer control" has. The thing itself looks like an electric razor or something if you ask me! Also, I don't know about Europe but the unit wasn't available in North America. I think, in fact, it was a Japan-only model. Be advised, as well, like ANY Sony device that can play MP3s from MemorySticks the UniLink reader needs to use MagicGate MemorySticks (which are white in colour)--the regular (purple) MemorySticks won't work. This is because MagicGate sticks adhere to the check-in/out rules prescribed by SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative or something like that). I think the model number was MGS-1 or something similar to that... Roland M.

No, the unit can't display video AFAIK. It is only supports MP3 sound files. Since the (non-"pro") Memory Sticks are limited to 128MB (well there are 128MBx2 ones but they have to be "flipped" to access the two 128MB portions on the Stick), it wouldn't really be too practical for video anyway...
