maybe your cable is dead? or the port is dead? Check if you have the comm 
ports setup right..on some computers you can assign comm...I think...sorry, I'm

not that good with these problems..

Have you had it working before, or is this your first time?
Chances are it's your cable, but I need to know more about
what you are doing to really be able to help.
