I have read the posts about having the correct cable, but that is not my problem. I was successfully tuning the unit last Thursday evening, and wanted to continue the next night, but I have not been able to re-establish a link. I have tried to remove and reload the DSC program to my laptop with no luck. The unit works fine with the current settings. I think that I may have a bad Intelligence board, but I'm not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=43580#43580 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 09:28:24 AM PST US From: Matt Dralle Subject: Re: XDP4000X-List: No Target Unit --> XDP4000X-List message posted by: Matt Dralle Have you tried my program for programming the 4k called 4kControl? It uses a different algorithm to find the 4k on the serial ports. It would be interesting to see if you get and different results. Find it here: http://www.matronics.com/4kcontrol Look for the section entitled "4kControl Version 1.0 Beta 2". Does the 4k still work correctly as part of the system? In other words, in normal "music" mode? Can you select EQ and Xover memory locations and hear music, etc.? Have you tried doing a complete system reset using the reset button on the C90 or other head unit? Its pretty unlikely that the RS232 port on the 4k would just go out unless something pretty onerous happened like dropping 12v across the pins or something. I was making real time adjustments and the unit was responding properly. I will try 1.0beta2. The 4k does work correctly with the CDX-C880 in every way in that I am able to play and select all my current presets. I have not tried doing a system reset as of yet. I will try that as well. Thanks for the prompt response, Jason Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=43591#43591
