Matt,
I just want to extend my gratitude for the guidence that you offered the other
day.
After downloading and trying the 1.0beta2 this morning with no success, I tried
the system reset next. That did the trick!! I can't tell you how relieved I
was to re-establish communications!! I did some tweeking with the new interface
this morning. I really like the fader approach much more than the standard
interface.
After making some adjustments, I shut down the program, then the laptop and the
unit went silent. I reset the head unit again and everything came back.
Can you tell me if there is a proper shutdown sequence to prevent further logic
lockups?
Again, thanks for your help.
Jason

Awesome, glad to hear you got it running again. As far as "proper shutdown", I
don't think there really is. The 4k is a bit temperamental especially when you
start messing with the Xover settings.
Interestingly, the data transfer method they use on the EQ settings is fairly fool
proof and works reliably. With the XOver settings, however, they send a lot
more data for a given adjustment and I found when trying to write a software
driver it was really easy to over-run the 4k with XOver data and it would "hang"
it and then I would have to use the Reset button. I think its just a "feature"...
Best regards,
Matt Dralle
