With regards to "what order" to connect things, I'm assuming you mean how to connect them on the UniLink bus? In that case it doesn't matter really with UniLink. As long as you don't connect two outputs together or two inputs together, you can connect them in any order and it will still work fine. "Serial" or "parallelling multi-changer adapters doesn't matter either. It all works out, lol. I do however see one problem you're going to have. The XA-7W is a UniLink *MASTER* meaning it is a head unit itself, and one that isn't capable of controlling a DSP at that. Connecting two masters to the bus is going to have it lock up at best, perhaps fry something at worst (lock up is most likely though). There may be a way that the C90 will recognise the 7W as a slave or vice versa but that is *highly* unlikely and personally I wouldn't attempt it. What you could do is just keep the 7W off the bus and control everything from the C90, using the 7W only as a screen. (Connect only the video output of the DVX to one of the 7Ws video inputs.) You won't get any system control or display on the 7W but you really have no choice unless you want to ditch the C90 and the XDP from the system. Then just connect the C90 to the master port on the XDP, connect the XA-300 to the changer port and connect the XA-118 onto the pass-through port on the XA-300 and everything should work out fine. You could alternately try the 7W connected to the XDP (and ditch the C90) but I'm betting that will not work either as I don't think it has DSP control (no Sony HU after 2000 does). If you need to get audio in from the 7W, I would use one of the inputs on the XA-300 and match the volume level with the 7Ws volume control. Note the two inputs on the XA-300 are different--one has a gain on it, suitable for portable devices that have no line-out mode. If you overdrive the gained input you'll notice quite quickly with an XDP as you'll hear the nasty (but otherwise non-damaging) digital clipping through the processor. So depending on what else you plan on connecting to the XA-300, pick the right input for the 7W and then adjust the level on the 7W and leave it there. Anyway, good luck! Just out of curiosity, since when did the C910 come with an aluminum trim ring?  I'm pretty sure mine's made outta plastic, unless you're talking about the mounting cage...
