Regardless, I'm pretty sure that the USB port only works when connected to a laptop, but it would be extremely cool if a thumb drive or even better a portable HDD could be connected to the C90/4000x via USB. Having a Phatbox is great, but I've found myself a little disappointed by the muddy bass output. -------- Sony ES CDX-C90, XDP-4000X, XM-2000R, Phoenix Gold M44, MS2250, Infinity Beta 8-5-1 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=169855#169855 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 01:13:41 PM PST US From: Scott Thibault Subject: Re: XDP4000X-List: Re: Equiptment for sale Weird u didn't get anything. I said I didn't think so that the unit needed to have an interface of somekind be it computer ipod or what have u. As long as it can connect to USB. You would control it through that interface not the stereo. I am not 100% as I never got that far in my install the unit is new though.
