Hi Paul
I have a 400hp, new M14 Red Head. I have no cooling
problem with it at all. I guess it has the old style fins. I love it!!!!

Dave,
I am getting mine from Termikas in Lithuania thru Bob Haley from Red Sky
Avition in Livermore, Ca. I'll be bringing it back to C77 (Poplar Grove, Il.)
hopefully in early Feb. and will be lookimg for some people in northern IL.
or southern Wi. to fly with. I am not sure how the WX will be going across
the mountains but hope to make the passage between two systems.

Bill Helvey keeps his CJ at his home next to C77 9/27 taxiway. I
curently operate my CJ out a farm strip east of Dekalb. Dave Monroe has
a new 400HP Yak-52 at Lake-In-The-Hills where Ron Kalemba keeps his
CJ...we are everywhere!

Well if the weather holes tomorrow, I'll fly down to the MIA area and to
Ocean Reef Resort. (It's where John T lives). I've been invited down there
to show off the CJ-6 along with some other warbirds.
This is a real nice setup. I'm given a 1st class condo to stay in, my meals,
gas and oil, and a golf cart to get around in. All I have to do is sit
around my airplane and tell folks about it. And on Friday night I'm a
"guest" at a big dinner where everyone shows up in "period dress". It not
just classic airplanes but cars and yachts. Last year I saw some really
beautiful and unbelievable fantastic "old boats". The resort does this once
a year for their residents. Invitation only. So guys eat your collect
hearts out, Pappy is go'n hobnobbing with the "well-to-do" amoung us.
Last year I got to shake hands with Neil Armstrong (also a guest) but that's
another story.
Well I must pack now. Nite all ;-}

Craig,
I live at C77 and I know Doc Bill. Another neighbor is a getting a Yak 52TW
out here but I was wondering if you guys would want to play with a guy that
had a straight 52 with 400HP. Maybe you can throttle back a little so I can
keep up. I am not FAST qualled yet but am looking forward to some instruction
from two T-6 guys that live on the airport.
Is their a clinic in the spring in the Midwest? If not maybe Helvy, myself
and the other neighbor could host something here at C77? Harvey Meek is the
fellow who is getting the 52TW and he knows the guy at Lake in the Hills. I
can see four and five ships already. Also Steve Thomas here has a 52 for sale
that has been overhauled and only needs some paint for anyone that is
interested.

I think there would be a higher demand for tubes than for tires. There already
is a good source for tires in the US (Dressor Tires). Tubes are probably the
way to go.

How do you guys think Chinese tires. I can get the tires here put in my 4 CJs shipping
containers. Around $350 a set.
