I'd be careful about how loud you shout on this one !
I think the ANO has something to say about flight below 500 ft
and within 1000 ft of structures or people.
You never know who's lurking on the list.

Barry et al,Thanks for the offer, but the idea of no traffic and restruants with
seating was too much to pass up. So far Bob Watts, Keith Harbour, Rodger Modglin
and myself will be staying in Manitowoc.
This way we get to fly every day too. Last hear was a real hoot, given the opportunity
to fly in and out of Oshkosh every day.
If anyone would like to choose this option and join us in the nice downtown hotel
that is adjoining an excellent Chinese Restruant the information is:
Location: Heritage Inn
Address: 908 Washington Steet, Manitowoc, WI
Phone #: 920.682.8271
Thanks,

Oshkosh Yakkers
I checked rooms and prices for the MTW event. For a great weekly rate,
the Heritage Inn that Terry mentioned will charge $189 + tx for a single
and $249 + tx for a double. On a daily basis, the Super 8 offers $43.08
on a single and $48 for a double. Tax is 11% in Manitowoc.
Myself, I'm doing half at MTW in the Super 8 and half at the OSH dorms.
Group rates are actually HIGHER because of the room set aside during
Oshkosh. OSH, soaks up *every* room and rental car for a mega-mile radius
during Air Venture.
Barry's home rental is also a great deal, I just don't need all those
crowds between me and the bar when the flyings done :

Wow...
Within 10 minutes of posting the add for my buddy to sell his alternator, I
started getting calls....
The alternator is sold. Gary thanks you all for the responses. (I think he
wishes he had a stash of the things!)

-Make sure that the hay you get is dust free. ALWAYS wash down the hay
-before feeding as it will reduce the chances of colic.
soaking hay reduces partials that cause reparatory problems-but don't oversoak
or you will lose the nutrients

Last year I was able to get a room 3 days before the event on Hotels.com at
a motel 1 mile from OSH, then when I flew into Appleton there was an ample
supply of cars.

Yep, and sometimes you get lucky. Kinda like a tailwind to AND from your
destination. Me, I do my flight planning early. I have been going to the
EAA fly-in since they met at Rockford; except for the years I "worked"
for Uncle Sam.
Even did the Appleton car thing. Dropped my GIB and headed back to OSH.
Guess what, he drove down and got there BEFORE me as I had to fly down
along the West end of the lake and come back via Warbird arrival. I had
more fun though.

That's right! We certainly don't have any folks from this country doing that
kind of thing in the name of religion! Except maybe the KKK, the killers of
OB-GYNs, etc.
