--> Yak-List message posted by: Craig Payne <cpayne@mc.net> Ernie, Et Al: Metric hose fittings are available from many sources. However, most of the fittings on the market are Industrial Grade and are heavier than aircraft fittings. The working pressure of the application must also be considered, a lot of the industrial stuff is for very high pressure. Some Sources: - Parker Metric Tube Fittings. Maryland Metrics has web listings and catalogs available: www.mdmetric.com - Metric Screw & Tool. They have a site for Yaks: www.yakmetric.com for some items and www.metricscrw-toolco.com . However for fittings you may have to call them at 800-METRIC-1. - GESOCO has Yak-52W fittings. These are aircraft fittings with metric threads on one end and SAE hose size on the other. (hint: a good way to solve problems with M-14 conversions on CJ's) I haven't had much luck with Home Depot but I have purhased metric hardware from my local Aircraft Certified Equipment store. I am comfortable with both. I have a fair bit of experience with listservs and BBS's. I wrote my first BBS in 1973 on the California State Universities' time-sharing system and set up my first listserv in 1979. It, info-audio, was the second listserv in the Internet (then the ARPAnet), SF-lovers being the first. I think I can safely claim experience with both types of system. > None-the-less, once they get used to a BBS they see it's a better way of > doing things. I'm willing > to bet on it bombing out...any takers? Since it doesn't cost anything, I would leave the chat room alone. Some people may like it. Personally I don't see a huge difference between matronics very advanced list server and a BBS. Here is how I see it: BBS Matronics time decoupled access yes yes searchable archives yes yes works with email no yes store images yes yes display threads yes no (can use archives to simulate this tho') I just don't see how one is really advantageous over the other. YMMV. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax

This is the only place a menu of this type is used. Blue is a standard browser link color. You might look at your browser settings. I check out my pages on 2 different machines, running several different web browsers, of different versions, from Opera to Explorer V 6.0. The secondary pages have a Java script menu bar on top. Items containing sub menus will have a "down" arrow and expand on a mouse over, changing from white to yellow with red text. Everyone should run the most current browser with updated features for best enjoyment of the Internet. >--> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd <brian@lloyd.com> > >MFilucci@aol.com wrote: > > I am not a mind reader, so don't be afraid to let me or Mike Filucci > > know what your thoughts are on this new stuff and what you would like > to see > > on YOUR web site. > >OK, can you change the menu bar across the bottom so it is something other >than >blue on red? Try the first page, second row of links on the bottom........or OF INTEREST on the Java menu bar on the secondary pages. The menu bar contains 5 expanding menus. Let me know how long it takes you to mouse over and expand these menus to look for something. C > > > I installed the Chat Room on YPA's site > >I must be blind. The most common is for red to darken, almost to a black. A long time ago, I was taught not to use red in presentations especially contrasting with any dark color. For an experiment, change the red on the site to a dark burgundy. Is the blue text still readable? Seems when you moved the web page off my server you changed domain name servers at the same time. My server is still providing domain name service and, of course, I am getting the old information. When you make a change to DNS you need to notify the old servers so they can update their configurations. I have verified that the root nameservers are now pointing elsewhere so I will go ahead and turn off local nameservice for yakpilots.org. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax

The message I delivered to the crew was very clear, "This flight goes straight to Heaven, fear not, for I am near." "My children I am with you, this trip is one I've planned, Yes....this trip is something special, it's one that God will man. Heaven's Great Space Center needs some special help up there. The Master has now summoned and is asking us to share." They quickly volunteered for this mission in the sky, Not a one was unprepared, not a one afraid to try. "You'll go swiftly to the Master, and that trail of smoke they'll see, Is the 'changing of the pilots,' for you're traveling on with me." "You must leave this famous shuttle that you're sitting in, behind, For the one I built that's waiting, is pure gold and silver lined, As you search the fields of Texas in hopes to find them there, Rest assured they're here beside Me and I have them in My care." "You have trained them well, America, I've observed your every test, I stood silently and waited, until you had the best. I needed them, America, for Heaven's Great Space Plan Encompasses the entire globe, The Universe of Man." "I know them well, America, these loved ones you have lost, I selected them some time ago, forgetting not the cost. America, my heart is grieved, by your sorrow, tears and pain, and Though it's little comfort, your loss is Heaven's gain."
