Geeze, Roy, you got that one right! I'm sorry for trying to reason with
the unreasonable in my previous post.
My plane is getting its final prep for painting as I write this. I'm
looking forward to flying it again. It should be done by the end of the
month but we'll see. I'm dealing with one of those temper mental
painters who likes to be called an "artist". If I let him have his way
with the paint scheme it'd look like hell!
The plane is on jacks for painting so I took the opportunity to rebuild
the landing gear struts. Turns out you need a special tool to put it all
back together but I was able to do it using another method. There's a
"piston ring" on the chrome shaft of the struts that needs to be
compressed before putting it into the strut housing. I was able to
compress the "piston ring" with some safety wire while assembling the
strut. This allowed the whole assembly to go back together the way it
came apart. It's a bit of a trick but it works! I can provide details if
anyone is interested.

OK, we have a troll on the list. A troll is someone who does his level best to
get a rise out of people by making statements using loaded language so that
people react emotionally rather than using their heads. When you react and post
a response you feed the troll and he comes back for more. When you totally
ignore the troll he gets bored and goes elsewhere.
The best thing to do is to just ignore him *completely*, even if what he writes
is grossly offensive.
