You wanna try living in the UK if u think your being ripped off!!
Try closer to $1.50 or 1 for a litre. The field I work on charge 99p per
litre and still claim to be the cheapest in the South East of England.

We had a problem with a CJ . The plane had flown three times that day but
had a jammed elevator on the fourth flight. A 4mm screw was in the push tube
of the aft stick. Boot around the stick had a new screw and three old. New
screw was a slot cut and could have been Chinese. The controls checked good
by the back seat pilot but jammed both sticks when the front seat moved his.
It was a rock solid jam that you could not force front or back. I am going
check my plane for fod after seeing how hard it was to see this thing. A
push tube appears very easy to jam with a very small piece of fod. The screw
was in the back of the tube with the head resting in a depression in the
push tube. A loose boot around the stick that allows fod in might be a big
deal with a push tube layout.

Thanks for the quick write up. Could you perhaps get pictures and I will
pass this on to Jeff Linebough. I believe this is the first time I've heard
of this happening.

The plane was sold and is on its way with a new owner. If you pull the cover
on the push tube as it exits the flap area you can see the area quite well
where the screw was. It was damn hard to see with the grease. It felt more
like a mech. stop then a jam. Only a magnet found it.

Might there be a proposed daily schedule for this event for folks like me who would
want to attend but are unable to for the full seven days? That way, perhaps
we can schedule to attend the days most relevent to our flying goals? Thanks.

Fellow Yak Drivers/Warbird Drivers,
We have posted a registration form on the YPA website (www.yakpilots.org) for
the Sun-N-Fun/ BOW fly-in/clinic (April 2-8). Registration can be handled in
one of two ways: you can fill out the online form and simply send it in with
a click of your mouse or you can download a .pdf formatted registration form
and mail it in:
Yak Pilots Association
PO Box 576
Frederick, MD 21705-0576
You can elect to pay on line or pay when you arrive at BOW. It is more
important to register than it is to make the payment--we need to get a handle
on the number of pilots/GIBS attending for logistical reasons.
Please register as soon as you think you will be able to make the event.
Those who register and pay up front will get a full refund if they cannot
make it to BOW/LAL due to weather or for any other reason.
Hope to see you there,
Mike Filucci

All of the appropriate ones, just as I do for any flight. (Is that
politically correct, or what ?)

A current regular Air Force (ours) friend flys with me whenever he is in
town.

I fly out of Lewis University Airport (LOT), uncontrolled field, but lots of
student
training. When traffic permits, we make "360 overhead" approaches and no one
had
complained.
We regularly fly to Springfield, Illinois airport (towered) where the
Illinois Air Guard
has a squadron of F-16's, and when we ask for an overhead break, they just
ask what
altitude we want for Initial
