Ron,
Thanks for the update, I should mention the rudder jam I experienced
last year on recovery from an acro flight at Columbus NE. Everything
seemed normal until I pushed right rudder to exit the runway to the
ramp. It was locked solid! To make a short story long, it turned out
that the cover on the voltage regulator dropped down in front of the
right rudder bar, probably from the landing shock after an acro session.
There was a formation 4 ship waiting for me to clear the runway, but the
good news was that the formation required only 1 go-around as opposed to
4 go-arounds if they were single ship.
New screws with a "star" washer and regular inspection is the cure.
