Doug Sapp is out. I hear that you can adapt an M-14 tool to fit the holes on the Chang. You will probably speak to his significant other, Jill, who is also an expert mechanic (A&P, IA) and knows precisely what you'll need. It is located in the main crankcase at the #1 cyl. exhaust push rod adaptor plate. It is approx. 5 or 6mm deep. I have no idea what it is for. Neither engine showed any evidence of oil leakage from the hole. Cheers; Walt ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jay McIntyre" Subject: Yak-List: Re Housai queries > --> Yak-List message posted by: "Jay McIntyre" > > Brian, the hole that I was talking about is in fact a drilling of approx 0.040" dia and located immediately adjacent to the push rod tube base close to the 12 O'clock position. > - With regards the throttle linkage - how and where does one get into lube it as per the book? > - Re the oil sample - the first two samples were only taken to make sure that the engine (of unknown quantity) was not making metal or doing anything silly. Our plan from now was to take a sample every 25 hrs with an oil change every 50 hrs. > Thanks for your comments. > > > Regards, Jay > > P.S. see you at Classic Fighters 2005! > > www.classicfighters.co.nz > > > With Xtra Jetstream - you don't need a seperate phone line for the internet! > >
