I understand from a good source, that our president pulled another
"endearment" that will add to his legion in years to come.
You all know that when making an approach for a carrier landing the pilot,
usually makes the call of seeing the glide slope indicator ball. A typical
transmission is something like : "Enterprise, 1234, 12,000 lb. Roger ball"
When our commander in chief, (call sign Navy One) made his carrier landing on
the carrier Lincoln, the other day, it was he who made the radio call.
It went: "Lincoln, Navy One, 12,500 lbs, I have the balls".
The Lincoln's crew on hearing this went wild! It fits after all.
God love 'em. He does do us proud even if he screws a radio call. :-)

This type of roll trim is common on the RV-series of homebuilts. You might
check out how they do it to get some ideas.

Saw this this morning ... excerpt from the story:
"The pilot was a 48-year-old woman who sources said was a retired U.S.
Navy pilot from Petaluma. The woman, whose name was unavailable as of
press time, died on impact. She was flying a Czechoslovakian L39C
Albatros-Aero Vodochody, which the Federal Aviation Administration
considers an experimental jet. A member of the Redstar Air Shows group,
she was practicing maneuvers with her husband and another pilot in three
separate jets when something went wrong."

A friend at the airport tipped me to the fact that Sam's Club carries
Aeroshell products. I didn't know this.
A case of W100 was $20.82, which is about 16 bucks less than the city-run
FBO gets for it on the field. Cool.
