I think it was about $400 from the local dealer I was lucky to have a dealer
in the next town to the airport.

The reason I switched was because of recommendation and also because I
wanted to settle on one all season oil.

Yes it can. I was just pointing out that Phillips makes a break-in oil
that is multi-vis but not a dispersant oil. Think of it as a
multi-viscosity "mineral break-in oil."

Phillips is multi-viscosity. It flows a lot better when cold so you get
oil to the bearings sooner after start. You also get full flow when the
engine is cold so warming up is less of an issue.

Sir; I have the w+b for my -55 (long wing) sn 870403, and used it for years in
IAC contests. Give me a fax # or address and I'll send you a copy. My home
e-mail(headed there now) is rab@disc.com

Hi folks -
In looking at what IAC wants to let you fly in a competition I notice
they want a weight and balance form for your a/c.
My manuals are for the YAK-55M ... and while I expect the 55 has the
same moments and locations .. I can't find any data on the positions of
the oil, fuel, and pilot to do a W&B calculation .. and the overall
weight may be different, too.
Any advice/leads greatly appreciated, as the first contest I thought I'd
enter starts this Thursday ...
