Can also be used for break-in without any problems. Yes it can. I was just pointing out that Phillips makes a break-in oil that is multi-vis but not a dispersant oil. Think of it as a multi-viscosity "mineral break-in oil." -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax GMT-4 ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 05:45:46 AM PST US From: Brian Lloyd Subject: Re: Yak-List: oil --> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd Robert Mortara wrote: > --> Yak-List message posted by: "Robert Mortara" > > I am using aeroshell 100 why is phillips better? Phillips is multi-viscosity. It flows a lot better when cold so you get oil to the bearings sooner after start. You also get full flow when the engine is cold so warming up is less of an issue. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax GMT-4 ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 05:51:52 AM PST US From: "Richard Basiliere" Subject: Re: Yak-List: Need weight and balance for Yak-55 .. not 55M ... --> Yak-List message posted by: "Richard Basiliere" Sir; I have the w+b for my -55 (long wing) sn 870403, and used it for years in IAC contests. Give me a fax # or address and I'll send you a copy. My home e-mail(headed there now) is rab@disc.com >>> william@netpros.net 06/03/03 05:50PM >>> --> Yak-List message posted by: William Halverson Hi folks - In looking at what IAC wants to let you fly in a competition I notice they want a weight and balance form for your a/c. My manuals are for the YAK-55M ... and while I expect the 55 has the same moments and locations .. I can't find any data on the positions of the oil, fuel, and pilot to do a W&B calculation .. and the overall weight may be different, too. Any advice/leads greatly appreciated, as the first contest I thought I'd enter starts this Thursday ...
