Very good tribute to a fallen airmen.
Tom was hired because of his skills and experience to ferry the Hunter to its
new owners. The airplane had just completed an engine change and had been
inspected by an experienced Hunter mechanics (a friend of Tom). Details of the
event are still sketchy, but all points toward partial lost of thrust after
lift off. For unknown reasons, Tom elected to stay with the airplane. The
airplane was found in the woods near the runway with him still in the seat.
Even if I only met Tom once, he struck me as a man whom enjoy life to the
fullest. It was indeed a sad day.

We have good assortment but not too many of them. Who
