If you read my last sentence, that is what I said. If you are commenting on my spelling you will find that ohmmeter is a correct spelling for a device that measures electrical resistance just as ammeter is a correct spelling for a device that measures electrical current flow. "Volt meter" is the exception with no single-word short version (that either I or my dictionary know of). We now return you to the mounting panic over deadly Radium contamination and the imminent demise of all people who have ever flown a CJ. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax GMT-4 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:29:58 AM PST US From: "Ernie" Subject: Re: Yak-List: More Summer Mag Fun --> Yak-List message posted by: "Ernie" Apparently I didnt read your entire email, and I didnt notice your spelling, but I'll keep a closer look next time :) Ernie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Lloyd" Subject: Re: Yak-List: More Summer Mag Fun > --> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd > > Ernie wrote: > > --> Yak-List message posted by: "Ernie" > > > > But if you disconnect the P-Lead from the mag then you could check it with > > an OHM meter. > > If you read my last sentence, that is what I said. > > If you are commenting on my spelling you will find that ohmmeter is a correct spelling for a device that measures electrical resistance just as ammeter is a correct spelling for a device that measures electrical current flow. Sounds like a WORM being sent from someone's computer. I do not send any attachment without a personal message in the email. The avionics list had several of these "Your Details" also. Be careful out there, I just had my computer crash last week because of a virus that got through my safeguards. I have been getting updates often for Norton or XP for the last week or so. ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 08:24:14 AM PST US From: Brian Lloyd Subject: Re: Yak-List: virus --> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd jay reiter wrote: > --> Yak-List message posted by: "jay reiter" > > It is important to keep your anti virus and windows updates current. > I have been getting updates often for Norton or XP for the last week > or so. I wish everybody did. The latest email worm reached a peak of 300 emails per HOUR for me yesterday morning. When I woke up yesterday I had over 2000 worm emails in my inbox. It took a while to clear out. I am now down to only about 30 worm emails per hour now. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza, Suite 201 brian@lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 - voice +1.360.838.9669 - fax GMT-4 ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 11:05:56 AM PST US From: William Halverson Subject: Re: Yak-List: virus --> Yak-List message posted by: William Halverson Try an antispam service like www.spamarrest.com A one year subscription cost me $36. You tell them what your email accounts are, they collect all of it for you and only pass on mail after it's been verified by you or the sender. You change your mail client settings to get the mail from their machines. They keep a week's worth on their machines. When mail with worms show up they seem to knock the worms out ... you can view the unverified mail with your web browser ... works with email lists, too. Highly recommend it [and no I am not affiliated with them at all] Bill Halverson Brian Lloyd wrote: > --> Yak-List message posted by: Brian Lloyd > > jay reiter wrote: > > >>--> Yak-List message posted by: "jay reiter" >> >>It is important to keep your anti virus and windows updates current. >>I have been getting updates often for Norton or XP for the last week >>or so. >> > > I wish everybody did.
