The web YPA has a minor update allowing folks to access the Transition Brief from
the web site.
Lori Edwards, our new web guru, is working on a new web site with added features
for folks.
I received the inputs on the name, overwhelmingly it was: Red Star Pilots Association,
or RPA.
We will set up mail in ballots as required here soon, thanks for e-mailing me your
opinions.

Drew,
From you notice on the Yak List (or was that Red Star List) you wrongly
assume all members read the Yaklist. The Yaklist is an internet forum
and not an official club sanctioned method of distribution so I caution
you not to rely on this. I have talked to a number of folks who do not
read the Yaklist or disregard it because of the constant stream of
babble.
Finally, if you are going to send out a ballot for a name selection
vote (not change yet), I believe you should also include the original
name YPA as well.
Just my thoughts, have a great weekend.

Yes, under the new website I'm asking our web guru to solve this issue, we
will have to set something up for our international members....also, we are
going to field new logo material here over the winter (your summer) as Red
Star takes shape. For now, we should be able to take your order, determine
shipping costs and we can do a credit card transaction.
First:
1. You can't pay through pay pal because you are not residing in the US, is
that right??
Believe me, I am looking at making our association International, so we will
fix this...

You are correct Terry, we realize not all read the Yak List, nor is it an
official medium for the association, but it's one way of getting feedback
from a cross section of flyers. The effort and man hours invested, and
required, is great, so we are using any electronic medium we can to get a
further understanding from members.
The mail in ballots will include the original name of course. Have a good
