Jay,
My manuals end on page 233. What you are missing is called "part two,
Service and maintenance of the airplane" which starts on page 193 (page 192
is title page) . Page 191 has the performance chart for climbing speed
and time vs altitude, it also has additional aircraft specs. I do not
have just this small portion of the manual, but do have the complete manuals
in stock @$35.00 each.

you advise me if Pg 191 has aperformance graph and other performance data on
it? This might help tie up some loose ends!

Craig,
I just moved my plane from California to Atlanta and the local FSDO here is
requiring that I complete an 8130-6 form and they must come out inspect my
plane and reissue the airworthiness certificate. The original airworthiness
cert. was done in California. I quess that's not acceptable in Georgia
(joke). They will redo the operating limitations also, but I expected that.
I've worked with the USDA in the food business for 20 years and the FAA is
similar, i.e., no two regional offices interpret the regulations the same.
Will just suffer through it unless someone has a better suggestion.

Hi Dave sounds like you have a frustrating time ahead, I have just purchased
a CJ6 and have to start the
over haul procedure. I was wondering if you might know of where to get
Colour schemes for the CJ6's
I have heard that they operated in an all over Navy Blue I would love to get
this confirmed and get photos if
possible.
I have only just joined the Yak list and this is my first attempt at getting
info so any assistance would be
appreciated.
Kind Regards
Michael Beach.

--> Yak-List message posted by: "Roger Baker" <f4ffm2@adelphia.net>
To all Yak List readers:
I was astounded to read Mark Jefferies posting yesterday on this site.
I must reply to this destructive, deceptive, and misleading allegation to
remind all of us that there are people who would promote themselves at the
expense of others. Jefferies allegations remind me very much of an
individual who, some years ago, caused an awful lot of useless confusion,
recrimination, and outright enmity in our little community by promoting the
airplane that his business was based on by spin doctoring bad stuff about
Yak 52s. That's now ancient history; everybody concerned has winnowed the
wheat from the chaff and now appreciates each airplane on its' individual
merits. But it was a bad thing to have done to the sport aviation
community. And now it appears that we may have another businessman
apparently trying to promote the superiority of the source of his product by
badmouthing another source. It has been my experience through life that
when a business resorts to the type of allegation that has been made in a
posting on this forum, it is frequently a case of the pot calling the kettle
black.
I am not in the aviation business, but I have had some experience with
Shakty overhauled airplanes. This experience covers six airplanes plus
several additional engines overhauled at the Shakty factory. All the
airplanes have been very satisfactory. There were two engines in which the
supercharger drive shaft was improperly sealed. The Shakty factory has
supplied replacement engines in this case. On the whole, my experience with
them has been very satisfactory. They are not concerned with
esthetics...little dings, paint, and fancy upholstery are up to the customer
after he receives the airplane. Other suppliers of similar airplanes seem
to put most of their energy into fancy paint and leather interiors. I'd
rather have a good Shakty overhaul than fancy paint anytime.
Jefferies' offer to substantiate his "paint and paper" overhaul
allegation by supplying parts purchase records from the factory in Romania
is disingenuous, at best. I'm surprised that he seems to believe that
readers of this forum aren't clever enough to figure out that the Shakty
factory, as an official Soviet Government overhaul facility of small Yak
airplanes, was supplied with abundant stocks of parts for small Yak
airplanes and Vedeneyev engines. They have been drawing upon these spares
reserves from the time of the dissolution of the Soviet Union until today.
Granted, those reserves are now becoming thin in some areas. However, when
the last two airplanes in which I was involved required parts that Shakty
didn't have in stock, NEW parts were obtained from other facilities' (in
this case, Smolensk) reserves in Russia! It isn't always necessary to go to
the factory in Romania for parts unless your supplier doesn't have any depth
to their parts support. So, I'm afraid that Jefferies so called "proof"
just won't hold water.
I don't think that this forum is the place for unsupportable scattergun
blasts such as made by Jefferies. And I hope that this is the absolute end
of the matter.

Shachty overhauls are paint and paper overhauls. Believe me I have been in
the
business for 12 years and know there work very well. They have to do paper
OH
as they don't have the parts!!!
If you blast me on this I will prove it by asking the manufactures to advise
the
value of parts sold to them in the last 12 years.
You will have no right of recourse either. Buy an a/c already in USA.
cheers.
