Yes. The maintenance program is the responsibility of your FSDO. It was
your old FSDO and now it's your new FSDO. The person responsible is
supposed to be listed on the first or second page of the maintenance
program. It is normally the owner. It does not have to be a mechanic.
Showing them the program doesn't mean you should let them change anything
(unless you like the change).
I wouldn't give them a copy (personally). I would take the original in and
let them look at it. I'd also take a letter telling notifying them of the
new address and stating that the rest of the program is unchanged, and I'd
put a copy of the letter in the program. If they want a copy of the program
make them use their copier and time.

Do whatever you think is best, but I would politely tell them I want to see
the requirement for a new airworthiness inspection in writing in the ops
procedures. I don't believe it exists.

Here's the sad truth of the situation. If the Operating Limitations have the home-base
airport listed in them (and most, but not all do), then the OL's must
be reissued because the home-base airport changes and the 300 NM Proficiency
Area changes, regardless if anything else changes. Then because the OL's and
Special Airworthiness Certificate are married together, when the OL's change due
to the aforementioned, a new Special Airworthiness Certificate must be issued.
To get a Special Airworthiness Certificate one must complete an 8130-6, Application
for Airworthiness Certificate. Even though the Special Airworthiness
Certificate has no expiration once the OL's change the current Airworthiness
Certificate is void and vice versa.
With regards to inspecting the airplane, we all know the FAA has the "right" to
inspect the airplane if they so choose. However, if you show the FSDO person
your current log books when you turn in the 8130-6, pointing out the most recent
signed off annual condition inspection, they typically accept that as meeting
the inspection requirements since obviously the airplane had to already have
gone through and airwortiness certification inspection, which BTW may also
be signed off in your log books.
Lastly and even more ridiculous is, if you move your airplane from your present
home base airport to another airport, say 8 miles away, you have to go through
the same rigmarole.

Hello Yak owners. I know I have at least one customer out there in your
ranks. If you are building an aircraft or flying your aircraft with the RiteAngle
AOA system I would appreciate personal photos of installation and comments,
positive or negative sent to me off list. Please state model of aircraft,
hours flown with RiteAngle AOA system and any suggestions.
Those who have questions re AOA please also contact me off list. I don't
want to use the list unless questions are asked that would apply to all.
address for contact: riteangle3@aol.com
There are several hundred RiteAngle systems out there and many owners have
changed e-mail addresses.
Thanks,
Elbie

I am shopping for a rebulidable Yak 52 fuselage. If you have something lying
around, let me know the details. Love to find one "turn key" i.e. airworthy
minus engine & wings, but will consider anything. Best not to chat about
this kind of stuff on list, so my direct contact is:
deancourtney696@hotmail.com
Thanks all,
