Yak Friends
If you haven't yet . . please take a moment to visit the Aircraft Engine Historical
Society.
www.enginehistory.org
They have a kick-ass magazine jam packed with gearhead articles for round engines,
water cooled engines and everything in between.
Many of the articles can be directly correlated to the operation of our little
motors.
Several of our group are already members.
I've picked up a bunch of tips for operation of the Yak, including a fascinating
article on cowling and cooling based on a 1937 NACA study.
Enjoy.

Anyone interested in any Yak-52 or Yak-50 plastic models? They are 1/72nd scale.
If so, drop me a note. They are $15.00 plus shipping of about $3.50.

Folks,
We've added a new function to the current association website called "Maintenance
and Mishap Briefs"
These are articles or information brought in by members on recent maintenance (MX)
or mishaps that are shared with the membership for the benefit of education
and safety. Pilots involved in mishaps are not identified. This function will
be provided on the new website coming soon.
If you own a Yak 3 or 9, you definitely should visit the briefs...
You can access the page from the homepage link at www.yakpilots.org
