To clear up some confusion, which I caused by not being more descriptive, the models
I was offering are the kind YOU have to put together. Having said that,
mine will be built and painted in an future paint scheme I am planning for my
Yak-50. I am having this done by a guy at the local model shop who has done work
for me in the past and does a damn nice job.
I apologize for any confusion this may have caused!!

Folks,
We have a big need here. My CJ needs a Right side (as you are sitting in the aircraft)
Yak-55 style Titanium exhaust - ours has a blow out on the lower portion
of the tubing.
I'm open to any suggestions on replacement options, stainless full kit, etc.
Thanks!!

Doug Sapp sells different exhaust systems. Radial Exhaust Systems in
Jumping Branch West Va. Also sells a Stainless system for the Housai.
Its around $1900.00. I have it on my machine, and I haven't had a
problem to date.
I still have some new pieces for the original system, but I don't think
I have any lowers.

Hello folks --
I just joined the list; I am in the process of falling madly in love with
the Nanchang. I am pondering getting one, and have talked with a couple of
folks up in El Monte where I fly (I even got to ride a bit in the back
seat of one -- thanks Ron!). I am going to be in San Diego this weekend,
and I was wondering if there were any folks down there who would not mind
showing off and talking about their aircraft a little bit.
Thanks

After almost 7 years and 700 hours flying my Yak, I finally figured out a power
setting for max. speed. This morning I achieved a straight and level GPS derived
ground speed of 203 kts. I used full throttle (app. 720 mmHg at 4500 msl)
with 82% on the prop. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, you gotta also use a 50+ kt.
tailwind.
Fly Safe,

Thinking of buying a Mooney for carting the family around. The Yak remains
as the toy. If anyone has owned or flown one previously, any info (off
list) would be appreciated. Such as: true cruise speed/range, which speed
mods are best, any known problems to watch out for, etc. Under
consideration is mainly the M20F.
Thanks
Jorgen

Bonanza first. If a Bonanza would fit your needs please let me know off

Robert,
My Russian vendor who provides me with Yak 18T spinners, stainless steel
exhausts, and Yak 18T shutters, has on many occasions tried to sell me Wilga
exhausts systems to try to retrofit to the 285 hp CJ. I am no Wilga guru
but it seems that he mentioned several different types (some with dual cabin
heaters). Let me know if I can help.
Always yakin,

On 556TR, your better than new CJ from "Fairly Honest Tom's Used Airplane,
Jet Ski, and Duck Washing Emporium"?
Other than that, how's it working out? Aside from the engine, and prop, I
mean.

I can't comment too much on operational details, but
problems to look out for are Corroded fuselage tubing,
Bent nose gear tubing(Check with a straight edge)and
fuel leaks at the wing. Removing the interior panels
is an absolute must on a pre-buy, after removal check
for fuel leaks (blue stains on the insulation and the
smell are clues)and any rust/ corrosion whatsoever on
the tubes. Check carefully for rust/corrosion that
appears to be "leaking" from any holes drilled in the
tubes, The tubes corrode from inside out. The Mooneys
really benefit from being on an ACF-50 Corrosion
treatment program, so buget and schedule that right
off if the plane isn't already treated. I maintain
several nice M20 F's, and you also need to find a shop
that will care for the A/c properly, many A&P's simply
don't have the patience to work on the Mooney's
because they are so cramped. A customer of mine
reports that the 3 blade scimitar prop he has on his F
makes a huge difference in the amount of rudder he
uses (No kidding!) A good pre buy is essential here.
Anybody need Maintenance in the ATL. Ga. area call us
up at 1-866-376-4720.
Yak it up!-Robert

Help... The carb on the Sukhoi is dripping fuel (one drop every 5 seconds
or so) out of the throat. I looked up and accomplished the trouble shooting
advice in the Manual, pull bottom plug pull out main jet plug and flush gas
up through. It quit for a short while, back to dripping. Thanks all.
