Metal Blades for MT Propellers
As some of you might know, MT Propeller in Germany acquired Avia Propeller in the
Czech Republic some years ago, to give them additional manufacturing capacity,
but also to be able to offer both metal and wood/composite blades.
Before going further, I would emphasise that these new propellers are NOT designed
for aerobatics, or indeed for the average use of light Yaks and Sukhois, really
because the considerably greater gyroscopic forces of the metal propeller
could well damage propeller shafts etc (but would give the ability to do wonderful
gyroscopic manoeuvres!).
The main use however is for M14P-equipped aircraft operating in "bush" conditions
or very stony airfields.

Many of the guys are running the Chinese DZ5 spark plugs in their M14P's and
report no problems. The opposite is true of the stock Russian plugs which
has had many reported instances of the centers blowing out, often with
disastrous results. You might want to reconsider and keep them if you are
running the Russian plugs.
Always Yakin,
Doug Sapp

CJ6'rs
I have a set (20) of once used, original, Chinese plugs (only a few
hours on them and like brand new) for your engine. Don't ask me how I
got ahold of them but there ain't a thing wrong with em'. Email me off
list if you want them. Bottom line.......I have no need for them so make
me an offer!

Yes it is, and as such we have a wonderful variety of folks with knowledge and
experience that run far beyond compression ratios, gear systems, and the drag
coefficient of round head rivets! :)
The Yak-list really is a sub-culture with all kinds of useless information put
forth on a daily basis...depending on your perspective, right? So if one message
is not for you, as Mr. Sapp says, use your God given right to hit the 'delete'
key!
I, and I'm sure others, found Boyd's insight on the tundra to be an interesting
tidbit of information, albeit relatively useless! Just like the first time you,
Gus, heard that an american pie has fruit in it, not meat! :)
Come to think of it, Doug Sapp has a great tundra story...just ask him.
Cheers,
Barry
