Yep, it's Phil Salter's YAK 52. I recently conducted a maintenance training
class for Phil at his location. He did all the work himself including the
paint work. It's a very nice airplane.

Sun 'n Fun goers;
It's never too early to book a room! Now that the Warbirds
January flyer has a form enclosed for the Holiday Inn in
Winter Haven. Their rate is $75.90, Yahoo rate is $79 ($71
for govt IDs). early birds get the reservation.
We (YPA/RPA) have been staying next door at the Howard
Johnson, listed as Winter Haven. Yahoo rate is $70.39, last
year our YPA rate was $71, go figure. Main advantage here is
that you can always catch a ride to/from Lakeland on the
warbirds shuttle from the next door Holiday Inn.
Just around the corner on state rt. 540 (Cypress Garden
Blvd) there is a Days Inn on Restuarant Row for $$71.10.
For Cheap Sleep there is the Super 8 Winter Haven located
2-1/2 miles North of the Hojo/Holiday on the same road (rt.
17). Yahoo rate is $49.95
Me, I'm local, about 30 mins drive from BOW, or... a few
minutes by air from my hanger. Talk to me if you MUST HAVE a
hanger nearby for your award winner. All things are
Po$$ible. I might be able to grab a few T's, either at LAL
or X49.

Troops bound for AYS.
There is a good chance that if there is enough customers, I can get Suzie
Basse up from Palatka, FL. to come up a repack chutes while at AYS. BADV I'll
need more than just 2 or 4 chutes for her to make the trip.
So I need to know how many of those who are attending will want their chutes
repacked.
ASAP please.

Subject: | CJ flap retraction |
--> Yak-List message posted by: "Jon Boede" <jon@email.net>
When I landed on Friday I put my flap handle in the "up" position and it
didn't retract. Subsequently I got out my 17mm wrench and opened the air
line going into the cylinder and the air leaked out and the flap went back
up. This is with the flap handle in the "up" position.
When I put the flap handle in the "up" position in either the front or
the back, I get a short "pft" out of it. When I put it in the down
position, I get the longer, more usual and normal, "pfffffffft".
Any idea which item might be the offending device that would be
preventing both the front AND the back flap handles from retracting the
flap?

Hi All
Anyone have (English) packing details for Russian chutes, as used in Yak52?
Hope you all had a good festive season.
Thanks Jorgen
