I have both the Bose and David Clark 13's and find the DC's better in the
CJ- I suppose it's due to its higher passive attenuation.

Walt
That's what we did initially, but there is a 3 or 4 inch "stand pipe" in the
bottom of the tank at the outlet which does not allow all of the oil to
drain out.
We still seemed to have a couple of quarts in the tank with the only way to
get it out with a pump through the filler in top. Seems strange unless
we're missing something....
Thanks, Jay

There will always be some oil left unless you blow out all the lines and
drain the oil cooler too. Don't forget to pull the sump screen at the
front of the engine and drain the sump. It seems to me there are a
couple of quarts/L there too. And if you are really crazed you can pull
the drain plug on the oil cooler.
I just settle for draining the oil tank and the engine sump. When you
fill back up, about 20 quarts, the oil looks pretty darned clean after
the first flight so there can't be that much left in the system.
If you are worried about particles left in the oil, add an oil filter.
