I would have to disagree on some of the numbers you posted. I don't
believe that more than 5 or 6 people post similar experiences rather
than your proposed 14.
In the future I would suggest you confirm your facts before posting such
erroneous facts.

Speaking of light bulbs;
I'm taking bright white-light diodes and putting them in my yak light
bulb (lamp) indicators like the gear and flaps. I'm breaking off the
glass portion and soldering in the diodes. They take tens of years to
burn out. They may just outlast your lifetime.
So, to answer your question, it takes one to think of the idea for a new
light bulb, another to actually build the product and make it work and
one to sell it to those who want to benefit from this promising new
product :)
I'll let the list know how it turns out.

Well, it isn't that new. That is what I am doing in The Project. The difference
is that I am using red LEDs for gear up and green LEDs for gear down. They
are brighter than the white LEDs with a colored filter and can be seen in daylight
more easily. Don't forget the dropping resistors.
As for a business opportunity, I think they already make colored LEDs in bayonet
bases with integral dropping resistors for 12V and perhaps 24V.

There is no such thing as "erroneous facts".
I will probably get flamed for this.
