Yaksters;
Most of you know I maintain a YAK/NANCHANG links page.
As a result I get allot of requests for including links to YAK related
websites.
There's been a few more additions lately.
For example, did you know that http://www.gt-propellers.com makes props
for the M14P?
Visit http://home.earthlink.net/~yak52driver for this link and more!
Good Luck

Why hasn't any used the on board air pressure to power a smoke system? At
first blush it seems that it might make for a much more simple system.
Please note that I will be leaving for China on the 8th, will return on the
23rd. So if your going to break anything, do it now.

Several People asked for info on the smoke system on my CJ.
The system is manufactured by K R Industries, Inc. Phone number (845)
566-0659. They don't (for what ever reason) accept calls from restricted
phone numbers so to save time and trouble dial *82
before the phone number.
The email address is krindustriesinc@aol.com
The unit is a package system which as I recall cost about $800 delivered
with an extra 5 gallon can of smoke oil. The unit is stc'd for the 450 Ag
Cat and is used by duster pilots to get wind drift readings. After looking
into the whole picture we found that this was cheaper than we could build
one from parts.
The unit sits on a piece of aluminium that we adapted to the old radio rack
in the back of the CJ. It sits right behind the battery. The only
adjustment that we made was to replace the switch that came with it, which
was like a starter switch, for a push to talk switch which we mounted in the
top of the stick.
The unit has been in the a/c since last summer and I have had no problems
with it.
Please contact me directly if I can give anyone any further information

for their factory installed smoke systems. Yes, it is quite simple.

I have a friend in Nigeria that wants to send me something. Will you have
room in your suitcase for
$2.5 million US dollars when you come back? He's been trying to wire it to
me and will pay 10% for your trouble. It is money left over from a military
contract/deceased ex-pat/government official who wants to "protect it" from
local instability.

Subject: | [PLEASE READ] Virus Laden Spam Purports To Be From Matronics... |
--> Yak-List message posted by: dralle@matronics.com (Matt Dralle)
Dear Listers,
First let me say that I normally don't condone the sharing of warnings
about Internet viruses on the Matronics Email Lists. I don't want to
start a storm of discussion regarding computer viruses on the Lists, so
please just note the information below and refrain from commenting to
the List. The circumstances I describe below are disturbing enough
that I felt an explanation is necessary. That being said...
There is a new email-bourne virus running rampant on the Internet that
is cleverly disguising itself as legitimate email warning of such
things as:
"your email account is disabled because of unauthorized access"
"Some of our clients complained about the spam (negative e-mail
content) outgoing from your e-mail account"
"Probably, you have been infected by a proxy-relay trojan server. In
order to keep your computer safe, follow the instructions."
"Our main mailing server will be temporary unavailable for next two
days, to continue receiving mail in these days you have to
configure our free auto-forwarding service."
All of these messages include an attachment that you are instructed to
click upon to "Get more information", "clean the virus from your
system", or "check your system for infections".
These enclosures all contain a virus that will infect your system and
propagate even more copies of the original message.
The disturbing part of these messages is that they appear to be coming
from very legitimate addresses and have very legitimate, convincing
dialog. For example, I have received a number of them today that
appear to be from "support@matronics.com", "management@matronics.com",
"administration@matronics.com", and "staff@matronics.com".
The text of the messages seems believable enough, and given the forged
source address, seem even more legitimate.
Please be assured that no one at Matronics.com will be sending you
these kinds of messages. If you receive one, it is a spam/virus that
has forged headers and was sent to you from someone other than
Matronics. Delete the message and the attachment promptly. Invest in
a copy of Norton Antivirus and keep the definitions up dated on a daily
basis.
Again, I want to stress that I *DO NOT* want a big discussion of
viruses on the Matronics Email Lists. Please do not reply to this
email with any comments. You may write to me directly at
dralle@matronics.com if you wish, but do not include the List.
Since many of these appear to come from matronics.com, I wanted to
assure everyone that Matronics wasn't the real source of these messages.
Let's be careful out there and keep those virus definitions up to date!
Today alone, the Matronics spam filter and virus blocking appliance
has filtered out 11,550 spam messages and 375 viruses! That's just in
an 18 hour period!
Best regards,
Matt Dralle

The peaceful valley people are the ones below one of two legal practice
areas in NJ I went to one of their meetings about two months ago and sat
quietly at the back. They complained that the horses had stopped a layin'
and I kid you not an autistic child was in turmoil because of the noise of
aerobatics at 1,500 ft.
Personally the only thing worse than the noise of an aerobatic session is
the sanctimonious moaning of people with nothing better to do.
OK, vent over. This is more serious than at first it appears. These groups
are bad enough when they operate on their own but more importantly these
guys have hooked up and have got a sense of power from each other. EAA and
AOPA have got together to help fight these private suits. There is another
crazy thing going on in NJ there is a sky diving school that is getting
closed down by the municipality, there is a deep question here who is really
responsible for the skies ? last time I checked it was the Feds.
Of course these actions will go nowhere but the individuals will have to
defend themselves which is a very expensive prospect.
Be concerned, be very concerned.
Gus

There is a time to laud one's country and a time to protest.
A good citizen is prepared to do either as the need arises.

Isn't Brian over there *contributing* to the instability? :-)
