I'm looking to replace the front and rear seat back cushions in my CJ. The
local upholstery shop says they can't make them look exactly the same. Anyone
know of a shop that already has the pattern and could make some up for me, or
if they need mine I could send them. I'm sure somebody out there has some new
ones they're happy with and could recommend a shop.
Thanks, Mark

Graeme,
Thanks for the post ... in fact I did get a response from Sammi at
AusAviation. She was very helpful ... the back issue is currently on it's way
for a reasonable US$5.00!
Best Regards,
Scott Huff

Hi All
Anyone ever fiddle with the standard AH? Play with the adjustment? I
have problem with mine, it moves in right direction (in other stays
still) but is way out of alignment. I have spare damaged unit I took
apart to check for adjustment possibilities, and have found what looks
like a couple of adjustment screws.

I would bet money that your problem is the leveling mercury switch in the
head. This is the most common reason why these things fail and, as we say in
England they are like rocking horse s$%t, damn hard to find. Sorry not to be
more help than that. Remember if you take it apart that these are
hermetically sealed and I would suggest getting some nitrogen in there when
you seal it back up again. If you want to prove it then I suggest swapping
the switches between the units and see if the fault transfers.
BTW, I asked the question last week, what part of a Yak 52 electrical system
does not work unless the engine is running ? The answer is the stall warning
heater it gets its power direct from the generator, see what happens when
your fuse box gets an attack of the china syndrome, the silver lining is
that you learn something.
