Gennady Elfimov is coming back for training this summer. If you've not had spin
or aerobatics training in a Yak, here is your chance. He is superb.
He is scheduled to train at Doylestown, PA sometime between July and September.
That's a hike for me, so I'm trying to get up a group who will commit to training
somewhere in the Midwest (I live near St. Louis). If we get enough (at least
4), he will come train us.
Let me know if you are interested.

Do you have an estimated cost for the instruction assuming 4 takers are
found?

Yakkers and More,
It's been cold and windy so far but weather is improving.
Yaks/CJ's outnumber T-34's. Imagine that. Who said
"Experimental" is not good? Warbird airshow logistics are a
Charlie Foxtrot, but what's new.
Possible award in the works for Craig Ekberg's fine CJ...ex
Tommy Rowe #43. Judges loved what Craig did under the cowl.
Production Sun 60 ran today. Top 6 finishers were Warbirds:
Siai Marchettis (RPA guys), an Epsilion TB-30 trainer and
one lone CJ. Messerschmit was 8th, and US spam behind. The
spammers immediately protested my class win, but heh, it's
just for fun.
Anyone wannna race? Aircraft Spruce promises more PR and
prizes next year.

The overvoltage relay keeps triping on my Yak 52. I have tried a friends
voltage regulator and the problem is still there. I can reset the
overvoltage relay and start the engine. Around 50% rpm the voltage rises
above 29 and trips the relay. Does anybody have any ideas as to what
might be wrong? I know the borrowed regulator was working fine in the
other Yak. There is a voltage adjustment screw under your left arm in
the front cockpit. I have tried adjusting this with no effect on voltage
what so ever. Does anybody have any ideas?

I spoke to him today and he is hopefully coming with me to OSH. I know that
there was somewhat of a conflict of activities last year at Manotwoc but he
has said that he would like to do some instruction while there if there is
interest. This really is an opportunity that should not be missed. We are
going to try and get him to perform in my aircraft, if time allows.
