Ernie -----Original Message----- From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of aapilot@adelphia.net Subject: Re: Fw: Yak-List: OSH/MTW --> Yak-List message posted by: <aapilot@adelphia.net> Jim and all, Jim, did you know our lost pilot at SunnFun said basically the same thing about SunnFun? He said he never saw the dates or location of the off-site field, and said he missed the yak posts. First, your RPA site www.flyredstar.org, has the dates, just hit EVENTS. I can understand missing a yak post about an event, there's a lot of info on this list. Our sister organization in Europe actualey runs a matronics like list, but has created three seperate lists to reduce the occurence of mixed/missed information. We have another solution, just try it, just as a test. Click to www.rpatalk.com, your associations forum site, don't log in, you don't have to log in to read, only to post. Let me say that again, to find critical information on such topics as an RPA event, you don't have to log in to read/see the information at www.rpatalk.com...only to post information... I will leave critical event information there in the event room. That information will be there forever, if you need to locate or remind yourself of that key information I'm about to post there in "events", it will always be right there, you never have to search for it or ask the author to repost it for you. Just try it, it will help our event organizers and help you locate critical planning information. Hint: bookmark the forum website, so you never have to type it in... Subject: RPA website Calendar and Terrys Log-in
--> Yak-List message posted by: <aapilot@adelphia.net> Folks, I just got off the phone with Deon, the calendar is being removed today (it was a previously planned action) and will be replaced with a state of the art new calendar that allows you the members to upload your events directly. With all the events listed in the EVENTS section, the calendar was lower on the list of things to do; based on member responses it's now priority one for Deon... Terry, Deon responded within the hour on your log-in issue, but he responds through the membership database and the e-mail apparently was differant, or for whatever reason was corrupted, he's at deon@flyredstar.org and will provide any assistance required - I believe he is sending you your log-in data at this time. Folks, always write Deon or myself directly with things you want to see on the web site, want to see done differantly, or something that isn't working for you. Later, Drew

Hotel rates are up all over the area this year. The Heritage has good Chinese food and is located near the downtown area where good brews can also be found. It IS Wisconsin you know. For you Yak pilots I believe there is a Borsch and Black Bread resturant near the Budweiser plant, alongside the lake; dried Lake Michigan Fishhead soup is a specialty as well. Transportation will be provided by Rickshaw, pulled by Yak pilots chasing a bottle of Bud dangling before them. The Rickshaw will be piloted by CJ drivers of course. Craig Payne

--> Yak-List message posted by: <aapilot@adelphia.net> ER, The reason you didn't get a password to the RPA site is it does not have you in the member database, please register by selecting "become a member" or E-mail the web master deon@flyredstar.org, he will set you right up same day, If anyone is a current or overdue member of the association and would like a password and feels they didn't get one, right now e-mail deon@flyredstar.org , he gets a lot of positive feedback for his immediate attention to your requests. Folks, what Deon has found is the database system works, but sometimes the info it has on file isn't the most current, standard issues, but any system can hiccup as well - Two things, I'm having all event organizers post to the EVENT forum on long term event info and we are installing a new member-modifiable calendar tonight. ER, you talked about ARS, we do have a critical position if you would like, again, I've been juggling 10 projects, sorry for my delay getting back. Drew

--> Yak-List message posted by: Gary Reynolds <gary.reynolds@hills.com.au> Gday Drew My name is Gary Reynolds from South Australia .i have recently purchase a Yak 52 from Russia and have started the restore. Im interested in joining your association, could you send me some details re joining Gary Reynolds South Aust President Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia 24 Milan Crescent Hackham West SA 5163 ph/wk 08 8301 3343 ph/hm 08 8384 8464 fax 08 8301 3370 mob 0417 899 343 email gary.reynolds@hills.com.au <mailto:gary.reynolds@hills.com.au> -----Original Message----- From: aapilot@adelphia.net [mailto:aapilot@adelphia.net] Subject: Yak-List: ER and no login --> Yak-List message posted by: <aapilot@adelphia.net> ER, The reason you didn't get a password to the RPA site is it does not have you in the member database, please register by selecting "become a member" or E-mail the web master deon@flyredstar.org, he will set you right up same day, If anyone is a current or overdue member of the association and would like a password and feels they didn't get one, right now e-mail deon@flyredstar.org requests. Drew

--> Yak-List message posted by: "Graeme Frew" <gfrew@attglobal.net> To all who replied about the insurance thanks for the info. Doug as if I would buy another Nanchang without coming to see you first. No, I have jumped camps and gone and bought a Yak! Unfortunately this means 01 is reluctantly being offered for sale. I couldn't quite swing having too aeroplanes with 'She who must be obeyed'. Thanks again for the info. Graeme
