It took me several minutes yesterday to find the info on the Eastern Event, and then several clicks just to get the info. I don't understand why we need a forum to post informational data, that just as easily could have been posted on the events section of the RPA website. There seems to be a consensus among many of us that we all prefer this site as our forum. Heres a suggestion, why don't you just include a mailto: link from the RPA forum link, to the yaklist. With all the banter back and forth about the web site vs. discussion forum vs. matronics list maybe we should include a ground session at MTW/OSH on all of the available ways to access each other and the organization. You know - beer and computers (arguing and hanger flying) maybe we could sort this thing out. I say this jokingly but its something to consider. I think all problems are best solved face to face. Hotel rates are up all over the area this year. The Heritage has good Chinese food and is located near the downtown area where good brews can also be found. It IS Wisconsin you know. For you Yak pilots I believe there is a Borsch and Black Bread resturant near the Budweiser plant, alongside the lake; dried Lake Michigan Fishhead soup is a specialty as well. Transportation will be provided by Rickshaw, pulled by Yak pilots chasing a bottle of Bud dangling before them. The Rickshaw will be piloted by CJ drivers of course. It has: Search Engine: http://www.matronics.com/search Archives: http://www.matronics.com/archives Go there to find out what someone has already said about something you are interested in. If you have a question the answer may already be there. Likewise, if you are looking for an event, use some keywords to find out if someone has mentioned it. There is also a chat room if you are so inclined. BTW, looking back at the oldest archive I see that Matt sent the first test message on Mar 28, 1999, and I sent the first live message which was answered by Mike McCoy. It was a useful exchange. The date was Apr 15, 1999. I guess that makes this list about 5 years old! It also tells me that my project is that old too. -- Brian Lloyd 6501 Red Hook Plaza brianl@lloyd.com Suite 201 http://www.lloyd.com St. Thomas, VI 00802 +1.340.998.9447 (voice) +1.360.838.9669 (fax) There is a time to laud one's country and a time to protest.
