This is the sentiment that we have been hearing over and over now.
As for Brian's question about why didn't we figure this out long ago,
well, my knee jerk reaction is if it was so obvious, then how come you
or someone else didn't offer it up that way? But that's not the point.
It's easy to Monday morning quarterback it but at the time we thought
that the end game was ACM. No one told us any different then. The
first two ACM ground schools at ARS I and ARS II were PACKED. The only
other time it has been offered was at the Feb. "Dust off in the Desert"
clinic (that actually took place in NoCal due to weather). Sure, it
seems somewhat obvious now, but we all thought that there would be more
interest in ACM.
The important thing now is that we have, based on listening to the
membership, figured it out and put into a format that has already
created a bunch more interest than there was previously. It looks like
the dates we will run our next "advanced tactical clinic" will be the
first weekend in October.
Happy flying....

I don't know about anyone else but I wasn't asked. (Actually Jeff asked for input
on some transition training stuff and for that I gave input but I haven't
seen anything requesting participation on form, tac, or ACM training.)

Dunno. I thought there were a lot of people who liked to do formation. And given
that formation is a prerequisite to ACM I just assumed (oh, bad idea as always)
that your syllabus included form qual before beginning tac maneuvering and
then intro to ACM. Well, I don't know about u but it makes an ass out of me
(ass u me). That implies that you have IPs who are there to teach at different
levels tho'.

And I am not trying to be annoying or obstructionist but, did you ask? There are
quite a few people out here with some experience in putting training programs
together who might have assisted if asked.

You gotta walk before you can run.

Sounds good.
Hey, you are learning and that is what counts. Too many people think they know
it all already. Learning behavior on the part of everyone is good.
