Can't find anything on the web...
Yikes, it's midnight! You know you're busy when the Yak-list Digest
"pings" your Inbox at midnight and you're still working on a
proposal.... <sigh> Figuring out how to sell MiG-29's in this country
is tough work! :)

Van Morrison: Queen of the Slipstream
You're the Queen of the slipstream
With eyes that shine
You have crossed many waters to be here
You have drank of the fountain of innocence
And experienced the long cold wintry years.
I don't know about the "fountain of innocence" but the
rest certainly rings true!

Here is my favorite:
Jimmy Buffett Lyrics
Treetop Flyer
I could be a rambler from the Seven Dials
I don't pay taxes 'cause I never file
I don't do bid'ness that don't make me smile
I love my aeroplane 'cause she's got style
I'm a treetop flyer
Treetop flyer
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run
I'm a treetop flyer
Treetop flyer
I fly low, I'm in high demand
Go 15 feet over the Rio Grande
I blow the mesquite right up off the sand
I'm seldom seen, 'specially when I land
I'm a treetop flyer
Born survivor
Now people been askin' me where'd you learn to fly that way
Was over in Vietnam, chasin' the NVA
The government taught me, and they taught me right
Stay down below the treeline and you'll be alright
I'm a treetop flyer
Born survivor
So I'm comin' home, I'm runnin' low and fast
Promised my woman this is gonna be my last
I get the ship down, I tie her fast
And then some old boy wakes up, and he says, "Hey son,
wanna make some fast cash?"
I'm a treetop flyer
Well there's things I am
And there's things I am not
Yes I'm a smuggler and I could get shot
I ain't gonna die, I ain't going to get caught
You see I'm a flying fool, and this aeroplane is, whoo, hot
I'm a treetop flyer
Born survivor
Workin' alone

I wanted to thank all those who came to MTW this year. I hope it went well from
everyone's perspective. It is hard to judge as I have never been to an event
before. I also want to apologize for having to leave before the end of the
week as I had family come into town.
I especially wanted to thank Russ for his work as airboss, and despite the fact
that this was not a clinic a big thanks to everyone who helped out by providing
flying or back seats for those of us without FAST qualifications. Especially
Dan, Steve, Harry and Craig that I spent time with. And also to Charlie Lynch
for his special effort (my son has told lots of people about his flight)
Also thanks to Jim and others who took over after Russ and I had to leave.
Plan on a more organized bigger event for next year - now that I know what to expect.
Thanks again - I had a blast the few days I was there.
Herb
PS Pictures to be posted soon.

Dee;
Try Yanny, Snowfall. Not sure of the name of the song but one of them on
the album fits with flying like few others. Great for swooping gently
among the grandeur of the Sierras. I have a ton of songs recorded on an
MP3 player that plugs into my intercom. Life is great, isn't it?

I just wanted to thank Russ for doing a great job up at MTW. I also would like
to thank Ski, Scott McMillan, Dan Fortin, and Mike Filluci for making it possible
for me to earn the Wingman Patch.
It was great seeing everyone that I met a year ago. I will try to make more events
this year now that I got the new bird up and running.
