The link http://www.yakuk.com/video.asp has just been updated with 3 more
Aerostars videos, files are approx 7 to 20 megs so DSL is required but some
stunning footage can be seen. So worth the down load time. Right click the
link and "save target as" and you will be able to keep the files to view at
your leisure.

Folks,
First, I recieved an excellent suggestion from an RPA member recently to
bring back the RPA "swap shop and classifieds" page to the web site to list
your aircraft for sale/trade. The idea was to place an on going add in
trade-a-plane to see "one of the best selections of currently for
sale-by-owner aircraft such as the Yak 52, Nanchang CJ-6, and other Eastern
Block warbirds and sport aircraft on www.flyredstar.org", this add would be
paid for by donations from those listing their aircraft on the RPA swap shop
and classified page, for significantly less than a trade a plane
advertisement. E-mail me off list if you would be interested in this. if
the interest is high, the donations would be very small to cover the add.
I'm going to put up my own Yak 50 for sale :( , it's a it's in LA, I'm in
Miami and here's the good news:
Serial number 1!! Original Russian logs. This aircraft sports flush riveted
wings - factory new & clean inside and out. Airframe is 65 hours TT, M-14P
w/35 hours runs totaly dry, burns very little oil and starts on the first
blade. Comes with MTV-3/-29 three bladed prop, warbird sized spinner with
Russian paddle back-up, has the heavy wing spar mod, FOD fence mod, PS
Engineering VHF, Audio and Transponder with Russian, VHF Comm 2, Garmin 196
with heads up mount, extra fuel tank, custom cargo compartment behind seat,
and map box built in to the cockpit , high performance harness, wing tip
caps with posit/anticollision lights, cockpit lighting mod, 100% new hoses
throughout aircraft, air tanks removed cleaned & inspected, all air lines
and check valves cleaned, no air leakage, new paint modeled after the
russian factory design. New upohlstery and all cockpit panels are new
painted and look right from the factory. All MX competed by A&P Yak
experienced professionals. This is an exceptional turn key aircraft and a
significant Yak 50 in the US in it's serial number, low time, safety mods
and quality of workmanship.
Inquire through direct e-mail off list.

THEY'RE HERE!
Any Floridian will tell you we have bugs. All kinds. Some sting, some stink
others are just - yuk. Most Yankees think the roach (we call it the Palmetto
bug) is the State Bug. But any Floridian will tell you that one bug defies
all logic. The Love Bug.
With the 'extra' water we've getting lately, the Love Bugs are coming early.
What do they look like? Individually they are black and about 3/8" long.
However you never see one alone. You see, the male and female are continually
hooked up - copulating. They fly around, (female in the lead of course) in
copulating bless. Figuring the aerodynamics in that configuration would no doubt
use days of computation on the top super computers. If you see one alone, its
probably queer.
They seem also to have an unmistakable drive to also head for the nearest
moving car. One day while north bound on I-95 just west of Melbourne, I found
myself along with a number of olther drivers, having to pull over and clean my
windshield. They (the Love Bug) had found to ultimate place to face oblivion
while in sexual bless. Made an upper spike in the windshield cleaner sales.
Fortunately, they are a low altitude bug so unless you do a lot of low buzz
jobs, you're only exposed during takeoffs and landings. Make sure you clean them
off right away, cause their combined body fluids will eventually eat into
your paint job.
As a matter of fact, the American automobile is the only know predator of the
Love Bug. No birds will eat them. The lizards don't eat them. No fly
fisherman will tie a fly to look like one, cause fish won't eat them. I've even
seen our green frog spit one (actually two) out!
The Love Bug has no reason to exist (outside of copulating). They don't bite
and they are not part of the food chain. Maybe they here to show us that
copulating can be the "end all" mantra of life. Just wonder if they are having
one long climax or - - - - . Anyway they're here.

Jim,
Funny you should mention the love bugs. My first ever trip into Florida
I ran right into a gigantic swarm of them. It was so bad I had to pull
over and wait for the swarm to pass. It was yellow gook all over my car.
So bad it clogged the radiator and totally obscured forward visibility.
Glad I don't live in Florida. Too hot, too many bugs, not enough
mountains to fly around, to humid, too many "tropical storms", too many
old people :)
GO WEST YOUNG MAN!
