Hi all,
Does anyone know the recommended spark plug gap for the Champion REL-37B as used
in an M-14P? Thanks in advance.
Cheers
Egon.

I believe the recommended gap is .019. The range is .017 to .021.

Anybody know what the two small adjustment screws on the Russian radio box
do? One has the cerullic letter for the intercom system and the other for the
radio. We're having trouble with radio reception. Transmissions are strong
and clear but reception can be scratchy and at times weak. Checked and
cleaned connections at the jacks, at the box, and at the antenna with not much
change.
Wondering it the referenced screw might be tuning of some kind.
Thanks in advance for whatever info anyone might have.

Got a good simple, cheap solution for you, however all the papers (how to do
it) are at my aircraft which I will see next weekend.
If you do not have thye solution, please check in on my e-mail at
info@yakkes.com end of the week.

Can anyone tell me what a JTY-1 does in a Nanchang electrical system.

JTY-1 is the solid state voltage regulator installed by the military. The factory
has no info on it, I have never been able to obtain a wiring diagram so I hope
mine keeps working.
Part of that system is a large diode on the inner bulkhead behind the firewall
(same position as the magnetic VR occupies on the standard installation).
If anyone has a wiring diagram I would like to have a copy.

The diode is the negative current protection. The generator negative lead
goes to ground thru the diode. The generator switch goes to the large pin in
the center of the connector the negative sense lead to the diode and the
positive sense lead to the wave filter. Unfortunately the problem was an
intermittent generator switch. The problem was fixed and I went no further
with the drawing. ---Jay

Joe remembered it is the solid state regulator. Did you get the carbon pile
voltage regulator you were looking for?---Jay

OK,
So instead of getting two carbon pile regs I now have two solid state regs. Would
anyone know whether I can replace my old style reg with a solid state one without
spending a fortune. I don't have this mysterious diode nor do I have any
wiring diagram. To compound the problem I have a complete lack of knowledge
and understanding of wiggly amps.
