I'd like to insert something about my promotion of the "Redstar Pilots" formation teams. T.C. suggested handout flyers and a flip chart for the Team Red booth at ICAS and I'm working on that. I can't seem to get in touch with Drew. I need to do that since I'll be asking for what we got at Jackson + $500 donation to the RPA as our "fee". I'm meeting with an airshow director this week for a gig up in N.C. The aircraft is in excellent condition, and always kept hangared. From what I understand both engines will have to be changed soon, therefore it could be a bargain for someone willing to take this into account, or someone flying in a country where TBO is not that important. The aircraft is based in France and delivery can be arranged worldwide. There is not a huge demand for this type of aircraft in France (the primary buyer would be flying schools but these are having a hard time these days) hence this post. He is also selling an Alcym100 (JAA approved for IR/ME training) simulator. As new as far as I can tell. please reply off list for more info. Oliver. LaGrange GA (LGC) seems to be a fairly central location for a lot of us. LGC has long runways and reasonable gas prices (credit card pump). For those who can we were thinking of flying in Friday 12 Nov afternoon and maybe getting a couple of flights up. Saturday we can plan to fly all day and probably leaving Sat afternoon. Please let me know if your interested. FACT (At least I think it is.) : Did you know the word "hangar" (where we store our airplanes) comes from and is the French word meaning 'cow shed.' It seem that Ble'riot stored his aeroplane in a 'hangar' while preparing for the first English Channel crossing. I guess the newspapers used the word as a place to work on aeroplanes and it has stuck since.
