Subject: More Lister Comments - Last Official Day of List Fund Raiser!!!
--> Yak-List message posted by: Matt Dralle <dralle@matronics.com> Dear Listers, Well, its November 30th and that means two things... I'm 41 years old today - your sympathy is appreciated; and its the last official day of this year's List Fund Raiser!!! There is still plenty of time to make your Contribution to assure your place on the List of Contributors. Also, there are still lots of Contribution Gifts available including the very popular List Archive CDROM, Aircraft Fuel Tester, 24 Years of the RVAtor, and the very cool Kitlog Pro software! Below is another awesome set of comments from listers regarding how valuable the Lists are. Please read them over and make a Contribution to show your support for the Lists as well! Subject: Looking for Yak Partner
--> Yak-List message posted by: "Mark Williamson" <yakk52@verizon.net> Hello, I'm getting geared up to undergo the daunting task of finding a partner and purchasing a yak 52. If anyone knows of someone in the Richmond/central Virginia area who might be interested then please let me (or them) know. I just sold an aircraft and got some training in a T-34 so I'm ready to go. I also wouldn't mind hearing from yak owners in this general area on who does their annual inspections, etc. If I can't find a partner in the next four to six months I'll probably end up buying something like a Cessna Aerobat (ahg!) - so any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark Williamson

--> Yak-List message posted by: "Gus Fraser" <fraseg@comcast.net> Mark, Have faith, if you buy it they will come. Just buy the aircraft and you will be amazed at how many people will want to own a piece of it. Getting people interested in a potential share is often difficult. When I bought my first Yak 52 I wanted to share but did not have enough partners but hell I bought it anyway, sure it hurt for a while but they soon showed up. Subject: M14P cylinder baffles
--> Yak-List message posted by: "Gus Fraser" <fraseg@comcast.net> I have 4 or 5 M14 baffles for a Yak 52 in my hanger getting dusty if you are interested. Gus -----Original Message----- From: owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-yak-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of Walt Lannon Subject: Yak-List: M14P cylinder baffles --> Yak-List message posted by: "Walt Lannon" <wlannon@cablerocket.com> Currently working on an M14 powered CJ and discovered something that may be of interest. The M14 cylinder baffle is different than the Huosai (and AI14) installation. The baffle is designed for a much closer fit to the cylinder fins than the earlier engines though the clearance to the head fins is the same. This particular engine has a mix of both Huosai and M14 baffles and a history of running hot. Either baffle will fit and the difference may not be noticed. The correct one is stamped M14 on the aft side. Walt
