--> Yak-List message posted by: "Richard Goode" <richard.goode@russianaeros.com> Yak List Weight saving on 52's We have modified a number of 52's by shipping out the Russian equipment; light weight alternator; Western flying instruments etc, and I recollect the best weight saving that we achieved was about 110lbs.=20 However one problem is that most of the weight is saved in the rear, so shifts CofG forward, so you do need to balance this with weight in the tail. Given the spin characteristics of the 52, I am reluctant to put too much weight on the extreme tail, since obviously the polar moment is greater.=20 Best regards Richard Richard Goode Aerobatics Rhodds Farm Lyonshall Hereford HR5 3LW United Kingdom Tel: +44 (0) 1544 340120 Fax: +44 (0) 1544 340129 www.russianaeros.com dangerous content by the http://www.anti84787.com MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

--> Yak-List message posted by: "Graeme Frew" <gfrew@attglobal.net> Hi Guys, I need to re-cover my Nanchang controls down here in Noo Zealand. Does anyone know the best place to buy the Randolph butyrate dope, filler and thinner products I need. I see Randolph have been bought out but don't know of any west coast suppliers other than Aircraft Spruce. I can ship the chemicals via a friends container in Long Beach so somewhere near would be best. I assume transporting chemicals of this type is as problematic (expensive) in the U.S. as it is in N.Z. Any leads would be appreciated. Cheers and Merry Christmas to all. Graeme Frew
