Q question to all,
Standard 1990 Yak 52.
I stripped and cleaned my oil pump over the weekend because of excessive oil
drain into the engine. I cannot find info on priming the oil pump in the
manual before starting again. Can I prime the pump? If not how long does it
take to get oil pressure up when I start for the first time again. I drained
and cleaned the complete oil system - oil holding tank (this thing was
dirty!), pipes, oil cooler, etc.

Hey folks,
I am in need of a gear hose for a Yak-50. We still have the Russian fittings
and just really need a new hose for the old fittings. Any thoughts on
replacing the original fitting with US fittings?
Also, I have some gills that I have no need for if anyone needs some. I have
replaced my gills with an Iris.
By the way, Barry, I saw your Yak-11! Bugger... I did see some "real"
airplanes over there and had I known I was getting a Yak while I was there,
I could have scored some parts off the airframes that were scattered around
the country. There were a bunch of AN-2's all stacked together next to some
MiG-15 UTI's. I understand the Brits have "repatriated" some Iraqi Fury's.

This is an interesting thought, but if everyone purchased their fuel from a
station not importing oil, how long until they would have to start importing
oil.
Unfortunatly there is not an easy solution. Solar and electric makes the most
sence, but still cost more and most will not spend the extra money.

Folks,
I dont know how ligit this information is, but chain emails are a good
way to spread viruses.
Did anyone notice the long bit of gobeldygook at the end of the
email???Its probably virus code,
unless its some image or something that my email reader isnt reading properly.

Prince Bandar can go eat with his Left Hand... I am
immediately ripping out my M-14P and fuel tanks for an
electric motor, with storage batteries where the fuel tanks
are and putting solar panels on instead of paint on outside.
Of course there will be an on-board rectifier and external
charge plug for Night Flying :>)

It's tough here in FLA during March, I made the mistake of
wearing my Southern Florida Uniform to the Frozen North in
Ocala for the Mini-clinic. Shut that air vent!
Thanks to "Pappy for joining the fun event, commuting
everyday. I learn so much from him. Such as what NOT to do
to your airplane :
) Thanks also to Ernie M. for letting me
habitate his "office" and act as a backseater IP. More form
guys entering the program now.
I'm asking for 2 rated sticks, with airplanes, Yak or CJ to
join Pappy and I at ZPH on April 9th, Saturday and/or Sunday
the 10th to help out with a Wingman Rec ride.
